OPW had no new project in North Kerry in 1995-96 apart from the statutory obligation for maintenance works in the Feale and Main Catchment Drainage Schemes carried out many years ago, under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945. The maintenance of the schemes, as well as channel maintenance, included works involving substantial use of rock armouring and other measures on esturine embankments. |
