Vol. 476 No. 2

Written Answers. - Tax Reliefs.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

70 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance if he will have arrangements made to update the tax free allowance of a person (details supplied) in County Cork to include tax relief in respect of a house reconstruction loan. [6839/97]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no record of a claim for tax relief on a house reconstruction loan having been received from the taxpayer. The matter will be dealt with when the necessary information is supplied to the inspector.
