I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that an application for transfer of part was lodged in the Land Registry on 20 August 1996. It is expected that the dealing will be completed within the coming week.

Question:131 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Justice if she will ensure issue of title to persons (details supplied) in County Cork who have sold part of their land for forestry purposes and urgently require a land commission map. [7075/97]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application under section 49 i.e. acquisition of title by virtue of long possession of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 15 January 1997. A query was raised with the lodging solicitor on 10 February 1997 and a reply is awaited. The matter cannot proceed until the query raised is satisfactorily discharged. It is not possible, therefore, to estimate a completion time at this stage.
