80 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the names and allocations received by individuals and bodies who received money in 1996 from funds dispersed at the discretion of his Department. [7147/97]
The Deputy will be aware that my Department provides grants to many hundreds of individuals and bodies, particularly in the context of schemes relating to the Gaeltacht.
The information sought by the Deputy would involve the examination of numerous records and would be difficult to justify in the light of the amount of official time and expense involved. If, however, the Deputy wishes to bring to my attention the particular case or cases she has in mind, I will, of course, be glad to supply whatever information I can.
