96 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Education the current position on the refurbishment and extension of Ballyhaise national school (details supplied), County Cavan; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7299/97]
The school to which the Deputy refers is included in my Department's capital programme. Architectural planning is at an advanced stage and planning permission was obtained in respect of plans approved by my Department.
The school authorities have been advised to authorise their consulting architect to prepare contract documentation.
Upon receipt of contract documents, I will decide the timing of the tender process in light of competing priorities and availability of funds.
