The Department of the Marine has various offices and officers located outside of Dublin to administer the remit of the Department. Staff involved range from general service grades to technical-scientific personnel.
In addition the Department employs industrial staff at the fishery harbour centres and at other locations around the country.
The following appendix sets out in detail the location of the various departmental offices and sites outside of the Dublin area and the numbers of staff involved.

In addition to the main offices outlined above, engineering projects are carried out at other locations which are overseen by staff from the nearest main office. At present works are being carried out at Bunowen, Galway, Ardmore Carna, Galway and Kilmore Quay, Wexford employing four industrial staff at both Bunowen and Ardmore and two at Kilmore Quay.
