Vol. 476 No. 4

Written Answers. - Ministerial Staff.

Edward Nealon

Question:

61 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the number of civil servants, by grade, employed in his own office, including his constituency office, and in the offices of his Minister of State; and the number and titles of any non-civil servants in each of these offices. [7273/97]

There are nine established civil servants employed in the general ministerial office and the constituency office of my Department. These comprise one assistant principal, one higher executive officer, two executive officers, two clerical officers and three clerical assistant typists. I have assigned the assistant principal and the higher executive officer to the positions of Departmental press-information officer and private secretary, respectively.

There are four temporary unestablished civil servants employed in these offices, comprising a programme manager, two special advisers and a personnel assistant.

There is no Minister of State in my Department.
