Vol. 476 No. 5

Written Answers - School Transport.

Michael Finucane

Question:

195 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Education if she will approve a minibus for schools (details supplied) in County Limerick in view of the fact that the current arrangements are not satisfactory and there are sufficient pupils in both schools to warrant a minibus service for them. [7750/97]

I understand that there are currently 12 pupils from the schools concerned accommodated on a minibus service licensed to carry 21 pupils. They share this service with eight special class pupils.

An up to date report on this service has been sought from the transport liaison officer for this area. My Department will communicate with the Deputy when this report has been received and examined.
