109 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Education if she will supply a talking computer and relevant software to a severely disabled person (details supplied) in County Longford in view of the fact that he cannot attend school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7803/97]
The school in which the person in question is registered, made application to my Department under the scheme of grants towards the purchase of equipment for pupils with disability in second level schools. The school's application for equipment for the use of the pupil in question has been approved by my Department.
I understand that the school is in the process of purchasing the equipment at present.
