53 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance the nature of the work carried out on the Minister of State's bathroom in the Department of Finance; the extent of the work; the cost of the work carried out; and if the contract was awarded on the basis of a single tendering. [5133/97]
I have been informed by the Commissioners of Public Works that a bathroom in North Block, Government Buildings was refurbished in 1995 for the use of Minister of State Deputy Avril Doyle and her office staff. The cost of the work was £13,494.70. The contract was awarded on the basis of a selective tendering competition to the lowest tenderer.
