A brief for the Clones sewerage scheme has been submitted to my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve funding for the proposal.

The Clones water supply scheme has been included in the water and sewerage services capital programme for 1997 as a scheme to be advanced through the planning-design stages in 1997. The estimated cost of the scheme is £388,000.
