Vol. 476 No. 7

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Service.

Michael Ahern

Question:

142 Mr. M. Ahern asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork will not be treated under the school treatment scheme in spite of being told by a dentist that she needed orthodontic treatment. [8146/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in County Cork is the statutory responsibility of the Southern Health Board I have asked its chief executive officer to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
