Vol. 476 No. 7

Written Answers. - Mohill (Leitrim) Health Centre.

John Ellis

Question:

146 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Health when work will commence at the health centre for Mohill, County Leitrim. [8263/97]

Limerick East): As the Deputy will be aware, the provision of health centres in the Leitrim area is a matter for the North-Western Health Board in the first instance.

My Department has received a list of priority health centres for development from each of the health boards. Mohill health centre has been identified as such a priority in the north west. I understand that tenders for the construction of this centre will be sought in the next two weeks. It is hoped to commence work on the construction within the next two months. The total cost of the project is approximately £160,000.
