257 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the totally inadequate toilet facilities in St. Brigid's vocational school, Loughrea, County Galway; and the action, if any, she proposes to take to provide these facilities. [8093/97]
My Department has approved in principle the provision of additional temporary accommodation, which includes additional toilet facilities for St. Brigid's vocational school, Loughrea, County Galway.
However, difficulties have arisen with this project. Officials from my Department have been in regular contact with County Galway Vocational Education Committee in order to ensure that my Department's procedures are being adhered to.
It is expected that this project will progress satisfactorily when my Department's criteria are met.
