Question:

285 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Education the circulars or guidelines, if any, she has issued containing advice on school procedures for supporting pupils who may suffer from anaphylaxis attacks. [8270/97]

My Department has no circulars or guidelines dealing specifically with this problem.

Where a pupil suffers from this ailment, the school authorities are advised to consult the parents or guardians with a view to making suitable arrangements in the event of an attack.
