314 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Justice if there are elements of positive discrimination exercised by her Department towards particular areas in view of the fact that areas of rural Ireland contribute substantially to our current Objective One status; the form that any such positive discrimination takes; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department does not receive funding from the EU other than in the areas outlined in my reply to Question No. 313 of today's date. It is felt that the Deputy's question is not relevant to my Department in the sense of discrimination towards "particular areas" geographically.
