Question:

342 Mr. Foley asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of people registered as unemployed on 1 February 1997 at employment exchanges in Tralee and Listowel, County Kerry. [6361/97]

The number of people on the live register at the social welfare local offices in Tralee and Listowel on 31 January 1997 is as follows: Tralee, 4,379; Listowel, 1,741.

343 Mr. D. McDowell asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will set out in tabular form the number of people signing on the live register in January 1997 in each area in Dublin by postal district, employment exchange or any other meaningful categorisation. [8192/97]

The following table 1 sets out the numbers of people signing on the live register in January 1997 at each office in Dublin. A breakdown of the live register by postal district is not available. However, the table shows the catchment area for each office in Dublin.
