408 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the persons appointed by him or by the Ministers of State at his Department as programme managers, advisers, assistants or back-up staff, either in his Department or in constituency offices; the annual remuneration paid to these staff; the names of individuals, groups or companies which have undertaken or have been approved to undertake full-time, part-time or casual consultancies, reviews, examinations, analyses or any public relations service on his behalf or on behalf of the Ministers of State at his Department; and the full costs in respect of these to his Department. The information in relation to staffing in my office and the office of the Minister of State is contained in Schedule A.

With regard to consultancies, I would refer the Deputy to my replies of 19 December 1996 to Question No. 252 and 5 March 1997 to Questions Nos. 256 and 257. Additional information is given in the following Schedule B and represents the current update of the position.
