A consultative process involving health professionals and other key interests regarding the operation and structure of the proposed social services inspectorate was completed late last year. Arising from this process, my Department has been examining various options and models with regard to the establishment of the insectorate and I am, at present, preparing proposals for consideration by Government on the issue.
