117 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the total capital funding available to his Department for 1997; the source of funding, European or national; the projects which will be assisted in 1997; and the level of funding per project. [9162/97]

The 1997 capital funding of my Department and bodies under its aegis (Votes 42, 43 and 44) and the estimated EU receipts under-pinning the 1997 EU assisted programmes of my Department are outlined in Table 3 and Table 9 (including annex) respectively of the 1997 volume of the Revised Estimates for Public Services.

My Department is involved in the capital funding of a wide and varied range of projects. Compilation of information in relation to the funding for each individual project requested by the Deputy would require an inordinate amount of work by my Department and would be difficult to justify. However, if the Deputy requires information in relation to any particular project or group of projects I will endeavour to furnish such information to him if he lets me have the details.
