Vol. 477 No. 2

Written Answers - Sports Facilities.

Ray Burke

Question:

195 Mr. R. Burke asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the urgent need for the provision of a floodlit, all-weather training facility in the River Valley-Rathingle area of Swords, County Dublin, for the River Valley Rangers AFC, which currently has 400 members and 29 teams. [9078/97]

I can confirm that my Department has received an application for grant assistance from the club concerned. This application, which is one of over 1,000 applications on hand seeking funding under the sports capital programme, will be considered when decisions are being made on grant allocations this year.
