Question:342 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Marine the current position in relation to the foreshore lease (details supplied) being negotiated in County Donegal by its county council. [9159/97]
Written Answers - Foreshore Lease Negotiations.
As I explained in my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 6 answered on 13 March last, Donegal County Council is disputing the rent included in a draft lease issued to them on 15 July last. An official from the Valuation Office recently visited the site and met with Donegal County Council. I understand that agreement on a rent was not reached and the Valuation Office will be sending a report to the Department of the Marine shortly. That report will form the basis of further discussions with Donegal County Council.
