Vol. 477 No. 2

Written Answers - Orthodontic Service.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

91 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health if he will have arrangements made for a person (details supplied) in County Cork to have orthodontic treatment carried out as a matter of urgency; and if his attention has been drawn to the fact that her mother has been endeavouring to have this type of dental work carried out for her daughter since 1992 without success. [8960/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in County Cork is the statutory responsibility of the Southern Health Board I have asked the chief executive of the Southern Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
