Vol. 477 No. 2

Written Answers - State Board Appointments.

John Ellis

Question:

101 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the number of people from each county on State boards which fall within the remit of his Department. [8888/97]

Ministerial or Government appointments to State boards are made on the basis of the suitability of the individuals for the position. The appointee's county of origin is not a factor in selecting appointees, and that information is not held on record by my Department.
