Question:

94 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Environment the estimated cost of staff in his ministerial offices, such as programme managers, advisers, support staff and other such related costs for 1997; and the comparative figures for 1993 and 1987. [9325/97]

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin):

The position in relation to these salary costs for 1987 and 1997 were set out in the replies to Questions Nos. 115 of 13 November 1996 and 98 of 20 March 1997, respectively. The figure for 1993 is £44,181.
