Question:47 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice the nature and number of undetected crimes on a county basis recorded in each of the years 1995 and 1996 and to date in 1997. [9093/97]
Written Answers. - Crime Figures.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that information on the number of indictable offences recorded and detected with reference to all Garda Divisions and the five principal city areas is published in the Garda Commissioner's Annual Report on crime, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. The latest report is for 1995. The report for 1996 will be published around mid-year. While final and detailed figures for 1996 and to date in 1997 are not yet available, the indications are that the crime level is falling.
