Written Answers. - Teacher Appointments.

Eamon Walsh

Question:

65 Mr. E. Walsh asked the Minister for Education if she will have a special reading unit installed in St. Thomas's senior school, Tallaght, Dublin 24, to cater for nine dyslexic children in that school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9418/97]

My Department has received an application in recent days from the school referred to by the Deputy for the appointment of a teacher to work specifically with dyslexic children.

The application has been referred to the relevant primary inspector for investigation and the matter will be considered further on receipt of this report.
