Vol. 477 No. 5

Written Answers. - Library Service.

Ivor Callely

Question:

160 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the fact that public libraries are inadequately stocked in information technology and computer-related information; if his attention has further been drawn to the demand in this area; the support, if any, by the Library Association for adequate stock; the additional funding which will be made available in 1997 for such additional stock; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9661/97]

The amount of funding to be made available for updating book stock is a matter for determination by individual library authorities.
