Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

Michael Ring

Question:

246 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice if she will expedite the issue of a schedule and maps from the Land Registry Office for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that the matter is causing financial hardship. [9627/97]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this application involves a Land Commission schedule. In the case of such schedules, the property is deemed to be registered as of date of vesting by the Land Commission. Queries have issued to the lodging solicitor and replies are awaited. The matter cannot proceed until the queries raised are satisfactorily discharged and it is not possible to estimate a completion time at this stage.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application for transfer of part and discharge which was lodged on 14 March 1997. Queries were issued to the lodging solicitor on 8 April 1997 and replies are awaited. The matter cannot proceed until the queries raised are satisfactorily discharged.
