Vol. 477 No. 5

Written Answers. - Chiropody Service.

Tony Killeen

Question:

108 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Health if he will make finance available to the Mid-Western Health Board to create a second post of chiropodist to serve County Clare. [9690/97]

, Limerick East): Chiropody services are generally provided on a cost-effective sessional basis with the number of full-time posts remaining few in number. The decision to create a second post to serve County Clare is a matter for the chief executive officer of the Mid-Western Health Board who is obliged to prioritise the provision of services within a given allocation.
