78 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Education the names of the schools in County Kildare in respect of which she has approved capital expenditure in 1997; the nature of the works to be carried out; and the amount allocated in each case. [10082/97]
I assume the Deputy is referring to major capital expenditure. Funding has been approved in respect of the following projects in County Kildare in 1997: Celbridge community school: new school; Salesian College, Celbridge: additional accommodation; Allen national school: new school; Kilmeade national school: additional accommodation.
It is not the practice of my Department to provide financial details of individual projects as this may prejudice the tender process or negotiations with contractors. I would be happy to provide the information when the projects have been completed.
