Question:88 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Education the moneys which have been allocated by her Department to Inisbofin Island, County Galway, for the years 1995 and 1996. [10094/97]

In 1995, a total of £2,690 was allocated by my Department to Inishbofin national school in the form of capitation grants and book grants for needy pupils.
In 1996, the corresponding figure was £2,908.
In addition to the above grants my Department also paid the salary of the teacher attached to Inisbofin national school.
