Question:146 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Marine the names of the persons recently appointed to the Port of Cork company; and if any of those appointed are relatives of members of Dáil Éireann. [10165/97]

The Port of Cork Company was incorporated on 3 March 1997. I appointed the following people to the board of the company: Mr. Frank J. Boland (Chairperson), Ms Michelle Creed, Mr. William Nolan, Mr. Harry Carroll, Ms Elizabeth Hannon, Mr. Jim Cregan, Cllr. Noel O'Flynn, Cllr. Colm Burke, Cllr. Braham Brennan.
These appointments to the Port of Cork Company were made with reference to considerations such as qualifications and experience of the individuals concerned.
