35 Mr. Callely asked the Taoiseach the names and addresses of each of the non-established staff in his ministerial and constituency office; the name and address of each other person employed by him and paid by the State, including unestablished officers and special advisers; the relationship, if any, of each aforementioned employee to the Minister and to each of his ministerial colleagues; the length of time in respect of which each such person has been employed by the State; the grade at which they entered the State's employment; the promotion, if any, which each has obtained since first becoming a State employee; the salary which each of them received at the commencement of their employment by the State; their current salary; the expenses, if any, they received in each calendar year since their employment commenced; the location of each of their places of employment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10159/97]

I would refer the Deputy in the first instance to my replies to the previous parliamentary questions on these and related matters: Questions Nos. 57, 60 and 65 of 25 March 1997 (Deputy Callely); Question No. 51 of 19 March 1997 (Deputy T. Nealon); Question No. 84 of 18 February 1997 (Deputy Callely); Question No. 77 of 22 January 1997 (Deputy Callely); Question No. 6 of 30 October 1996 (Deputy Callely); Questions Nos. 50 (Deputy Callely) and 51 (Deputy D. Ahern) 22 October 1996.

These replies include details such as the names of the non-established staff in my private and constituency offices, their job titles and their remuneration in 1996. None of these people has been promoted during my period in office.
My Department does not maintain records in respect of previous employment of staff members. The attached schedule lists the dates on which they commenced their employment in this Department, their starting salary as at that date and their current salary. None of the non-established staff in my private or constituency offices is related to myself or to any member of the Government.
The expenses paid to the aforementioned employees in each of the years since I took office are as follows: December 1994: £57.27; 1995: £19,995.63; 1996: £20,620.30; and 1997 to date: £4,666.74.
All the staff in question are based at Government Buildings, Upper Merrion Street, Dublin 2. I trust the Deputy will understand that it is not policy to give the home addresses of any member of staff.
