75 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Health when he received the final report from the group established to study public health nursing; when the report will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10288/97]
Limerick East): I have not yet received the final report referred to by the Deputy. I am aware that the draft report is being examined by my Department's officials. A decision has not yet been made regarding publication of the report.
It is, however, intended to send a copy of the draft report to the Commission on Nursing shortly to assist it in its examination of the role of nurses in the health services and the requirements placed on nurses, both in training and delivery of services.
