186 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Justice if a decision has been taken by the Attorney General to appeal the High Court ruling in a case (details supplied) under Section 24 of the Coroner's Act, 1962; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10492/97]

As I indicated to the Deputy in reply to his Question No. 172 of 5 March 1997, I understand that a decision has been taken to appeal the High Court ruling to the Supreme Court.

I should point out to the Deputy that I am not a party to the court proceedings.
