Question:

125 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Justice if a new Garda station will be provided at Kilmoganny, County Kilkenny, in view of the fact that a temporary building was erected several years ago and it is now totally unsuitable for current accommodation. [10858/97]

Minister for Justice (Mrs. Owen):

It is planned to build a new basic unit Garda station in Kilmoganny.While it is not possible to say at this time when the proposed works will commence, they will be progressed as quickly as possible having regard to overall priorities and the availability of finance.
