143 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the total beef stocks in intervention in mid-April 1993, mid-April 1994, mid-April 1995 and mid-April 1996; and the latest level of stocks this year. [10935/97]

The total stocks of beef held in intervention in Ireland at mid-April in the years 1993 to 1996 inclusive are as follows:
