46 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if Teagasc is carrying out any testing or trials of genetically modified crops or cloning of farm animals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10767/97]
I understand from Teagasc that it has no such testing or trials in progress. Teagasc keeps abreast of developments in the area of genetically modified organisms and would only test or try such materials subject to the approval of the Environmental Protection Agency.
