Vol. 478 No. 2

Written Answers. - Staff Overtime Payments.

Seán Ryan

Question:

100 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in payment of overtime due to drivers employed at Oberstown, Lusk, County Dublin; and if she will report on the circumstances surrounding this unusual case. [10821/97]

The case to which the Deputy refers relates to four staff members at Trinity House school.

I understand that the delay in the payments in question arises from a dispute involving internal management arrangements at the school.

Officials of my Department are engaged in ongoing discussions with the management and staff sides at the school in an effort to resolve matters and ensure that the payments in question are made as soon as possible.
