Vol. 478 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

37 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health if he will ensure that a person (details supplied) in County Cork is admitted to hospital without delay to have surgery for a disc problem carried out; and if his attention has been drawn to the fact that she was informed she would be called in April 1996. [11064/97]

Limerick East): As the determination of in-patient appointments is a matter for the hospital authorities in the first instance, I have asked the general manager of Cork University to investigate the position regarding this patient. Given the particular circumstances of this case, I have requested that he reply to the Deputy directly, as a matter of urgency.
