Written Answers. - Aural Services.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

38 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health if a person (details supplied) in County Cork is entitled to have a hearing aid made available and fitted free of charge by the Southern Health Board. [11066/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of aural services to eligible persons in County Cork is the statutory responsibility of the Southern Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of the Southern Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
