Vol. 478 No. 3

Written Answers. - Driving Tests.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

61 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for the Environment if he will have arrangements made to refund a driving test fee to a person (details supplied) in County Cork who does not wish to undergo his driving test for a bus at this time. [11062/97]

Article 27 (4) of the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations, 1989, as amended, precludes the refund of a driving test fee except where the applicant had adequate reason for not submitting to the test. If this person submits evidence in writing in support of any such reason for not submitting to the driving test which was arranged on request, the question of a refund of the test fee will be further considered in my Department.
