270 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for the Marine the moneys which have been provided for the development and improvement of Cleggan Pier in Connemara, County Galway, in 1997; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11386/97]

The Department's engineering staff have undertaken a preliminary study of requirements at Cleggan Pier and these will be discussed with Galway County Council in the coming weeks with a view to progressing proposals for improvement works.
