Vol. 478 No. 6

Written Answers. - Education Schemes.

Eamon Walsh

Question:

137 Mr. E. Walsh asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, there has been on the application for the Early Start and the Breaking the Cycle schemes by St. Aidan's national school, Brookfield, Tallaght, Dublin 24, in view of the established need in the school for these schemes. [11842/97]

I would like to assure the Deputy that the needs of the school referred to will receive every consideration in the event of any further development of the Early Start pre-school programme or the Breaking the Cycle initiative being undertaken. However, as previously indicated to the Deputy, I have no plans at present to include additional schools in the Early Start pre-school programme or the Breaking the Cycle scheme.
