191 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will publish the report of the independent study commissioned by his Department into the level of forestry premia payable to farmers; the name of the company which carried out the study; and the cost of producing the report. [11876/97]
The report referred to by the Deputy is being finalised at present by Brendan Kearney & Associates, Agribusiness and Economic Consultants, at a cost of £3,500 plus VAT at 21 per cent. The contents of the report will be used as part of a submission to the European Commission in the context of a review of forestry premia. In the circumstances it would not be appropriate to divulge the contents of the report.
