Adjournment Debate Matters.

An Leas-Cheann Comhairle

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Eric Byrne — the urgent need for updated school attendance legislation to be introduced; (2) Deputy Lynch — the urgent need to ensure all public buildings are made fully accessible to people with disabilities; (3) Deputy Matt Brennan — the urgent need for improvement works to be carried out to St. Barbara's national school, Castlerock, Aclare, County Sligo; (4) Deputy Brendan Smith — the need to approve the contract documents for stage 2 of the Bailieborough regional water supply scheme; (5) Deputy Browne (Wexford)— the need to intervene with An Post regarding the proposed closure of Clough Post Office, Clough, Gorey, County Wexford; (6) Deputy Andrews — the case of Danny McNamee, a prisoner in HMP Full Sutton in England and the outcome of his appeal for re-categorisation which was heard last week; (7) Deputy Hugh Byrne — the equitable distribution of the recently announced £17 million compensation package so that it will benefit hard pressed beef producers rather than beef factories.

The matters raised by Deputies Andrews, Brendan Smith, Matt Brennan and Hugh Byrne have been selected for discussion.
