60 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health if the Blood Transfusion Service Board centre in Cork will be allowed to continue in existence. [11733/97]

84 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Health the plans, if any, he has for the development of the blood bank in Cork; if he will invest immediately in this facility; if any downgrading of the Cork operation is planned; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11907/97]

Limerick East): A recommendation of the report of the tribunal of inquiry into the BTSB concerns the development plan for the BTSB for the period up to 1999. In line with this recommendation an extensive multi-million pound programme of redevelopment and renewal of the BTSB nationally, which includes the Cork centre, is being planned and will be implemented as a matter of urgency.
