Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the immediate need to set up a national surveillance monitoring unit in view of the dramatic increase of MRSA in acute hospitals; (2) Deputy Eric Byrne — the urgent need for updated school attendance legislation to be introduced; (3) Deputy Lynch — the urgent need to ensure that all public buildings are made fully accessible to people with disabilities; (4) Deputy Ring — the protection to be given to local fishermen in Porturlin, Ballina, County Mayo, to prevent large Irish trawlers from entering their 12 mile fishing zone and damaging their crab pots; (5) Deputy Kenneally — the need for school transport to be provided for children in the Shean and Glencairn areas of County Waterford to bring them to Ballyduff Upper national school; (6) Deputy Ellis — the problems being experienced by pupils and teachers at Fenagh national school, County Leitrim, due to the proposed transfer of a teacher and (7) Deputy Ferris — the need to ensure that the smaller creditors of Bell Line Enterprises are not put out of business arising from the decision taken by the examiner appointed to the company and if he will ensure that the Employers' and Employees' Insolvency Act is applied to these creditors.

The matters raised by Deputies Batt O'Keeffe, Eric Byrne, Kenneally and Ellis have been selected for discussion.
