157 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education the financial allocation, if any, she has allowed for the extension project to the De La Salle College, Dundalk, County Louth; if this level of funding will allow the school extension to be completed by the start of the next academic year; and if she will make a statement on the matter.[12174/97]

The extension project at De La Salle College, Dundalk is currently at stage 6, that is tender action and report, of the architectural planning process. I have recently approved the provision of funding for this extension project. Construction of the building will commence when all stages of architectural planning have been successfully completed.
